RoHS guidelines
Our surface treatments meet the requirements set down in the RoHS.
Which materials does it concern?
It concerns cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), hexavalent chrome (Cr (VI)), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polychlorinated diphenyl ethers (PCDEs) and lead (Pb).
Hexavalent chrome is used in the galvanising process both in etching and in chromium plating. However, during the galvanisation process this is reduced to harmless chromium III.
We can therefore confirm that the parts that we galvanise meet the requirements of RoHS (Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances).
